The larger economies and corporations need to step up and help their smaller brethren cut emissions and develop new technology, with the idea that the larger companies could sell carbon offsets to smaller companies that cannot necessarily afford to purchase renewable energy.

Advancements in biofuel technology are coming, but not fast enough to make a real dent in the renewable energy world. Their ability to be used in many different ways, as well as the abundance of materials that can be used to create biofuels, makes this form of renewable energy very important.

The technology exists, but in order to really push for further innovation in renewable energy, larger companies need to have an open market to produce, because competition is killing any chances of innovative companies really pushing to the front of the renewable energy industry.
